Yes, ULBRA is having financial problems, but it's still a good option if you want to study. The student is made by themselves. This place is well located, beautiful, has a very good library, and excellent professors (Mozara, Gabriela, Honor, Maria Alice... I don't want credit points because I already passed their classes hahaha).
One of the best universities to study at, I highly recommend it. The professors do everything possible and impossible for their students, the staff are helpful and charismatic. The place is extremely large and very beautiful, the students are of different genders and ideologies, which makes the classes interesting and productive.
Terrible university, disorganized, they don't value their students, all that matters is the tuition fee. The disorganization is so bad that they didn't even renew the contract with the city of Canoas for mandatory internships. There is no support for students. I wouldn't recommend this garbage university to anyone.
I've been a student at Ulbra since 2018/2. The university is a joke; they don't provide guidance to students, they don't answer the main phone or the coordination office's phone. As if the stress students face during final exams wasn't enough, Ulbra decides to maintain scholarships at the end of the semester.
Garbage! Due to administrative problems. I chose Ulbra as my university believing it to be honest and ethical, and today I understand why you have lost your reputation as an academic university. I am ashamed to graduate with a degree in Administration from a university that can't even manage its own affairs.
It has the structure and potential to be a great hospital, but it's run by young people who are only concerned with money and parties. The vast majority of the staff there are awful, provide poor service, and still think they're always right—all spoiled rich kids who went into medicine just for the money!
I started my studies at the university this semester. Due to the financial shortfall caused a few years ago, it's noticeable that the university is restructuring. The teaching is excellent, the library is very well-equipped, and I find the location very good, with easy access to BR-116 and BR-448 highways.
If I could, I wouldn't give it any stars. The service for students is terrible, especially for distance learning students; they only work when they want to. Seriously, if you have another university option, go to the other one. They never manage to resolve anything, and the phone service is just for show.
The customer support service is terrible. I've been requesting a duplicate of my diploma since November, which I lost in the flood, and still nothing. Today I contacted them and the representative said they could only help me on Tuesday because it's a holiday ?. For God's sake, what a hassle. …
My father was hospitalized with respiratory problems, and I'm extremely surprised at how wonderful Ulbra is. Congratulations to the super friendly staff, the spotless room, the excellent service, and they performed several tests on him. Thank you so much for everything; everything was perfect.
Customer service seems to be nonexistent. I tried contacting Ulbra through four different WhatsApp numbers, tried calling by phone, and nothing... Student support is awful. Everything is wonderful when they want you to enroll, but afterwards it becomes extremely difficult to get any support.
A beautiful place, incredible lighting at night, environments with a lot of history to tell, whether at the book station or the Cathedral. Great lunch and dinner. Very attentive people. I needed medical assistance, which was very attentive, as were the nurse and firefighters.
They don't know how to value students and teachers; the only thing that matters is the money we pay in tuition fees. They're ruining the courses and the incredible structure the university once had, all for the sake of marketing, advertising, and money. Disappointment.
Terrible!!!!!! Run away from here, it's the worst university I've ever set foot in!!! Ridiculous service, even more ridiculous design course, terrible coordinator!!! BIGGEST regret of choosing this university! RUN AWAY FROM HERE, it's the best thing you'll do.
What incompetence! They have almost a month to prepare my transcript and other documents I need for the transfer, the deadline has passed and they still haven't done it. I'm going to lose a job opportunity and a place at another university because of this...
That place is ridiculous. You go there feeling unwell, hoping to be seen, only to hear that there's only one doctor and that his schedule is full. It's impossible to believe or take seriously that a healthcare facility would tell you something like that...
The parking is a disgrace; after class, you have to wait in line for more than 30 minutes. On top of that, people cut in line by squeezing their cars in front... There's absolutely no organization, and not a single employee to bring order to this mess.
A highly reputable and nationally recognized educational institution. Despite facing financial difficulties in recent years and even undergoing judicial reorganization, Ulbra remains an excellent university. The Canoas Campus has a gigantic …
A university with a full-time program that doesn't provide decent internet for students to use during activities, nor a suitable place to wait between classes. There's no space to rest, the library's air conditioning doesn't work, and there …
A good university that meets all the needs of an academic. The campus is pleasant and spacious, always very clean, and the landscaping is meticulously maintained. Bad professors exist everywhere, including at ULBRA, but I can guarantee that …
I am mentally disabled, and for two days I have been trying to contact the university and have received no response. I am simply being ignored. I paid my overdue tuition fees, but I paid with the wrong card. I asked for it to be canceled so …
In April I was bleeding and went to Ulbra. After a few days, a clot came out. I had some tests done there and they said it was a spontaneous abortion. After about three months, I had an emergency ultrasound and discovered that the baby was …
It's a private university, but it currently offers many scholarships. It has a large, well-signposted, and well-maintained campus (some cows roam around, it's normal...), very well-qualified professors willing to help students, at least in …
Lack of organization in the auditorium of building 1 for events. I went to see Bruna Louise today, the generator couldn't handle it, the power went out twice, and then they had to turn off the air conditioning to continue the presentation. …
Exactly 7 days ago, last Sunday, I went to the Ulbra hospital to give birth to my baby. I arrived and was evaluated by the very attentive nurses and doctor who promptly took me to the delivery room. It was a unique and unforgettable moment …
Ulbra EAD is simply the worst, no exaggeration!! They force you to swallow a new system, full of flaws and incomplete, without structure and zero effectiveness!! The support, coordination, and finance departments are the same – a clumsy …
Large university with diverse course options in a wide variety of fields, numerous food options with varying prices and types of snacks, several parking lots with numerous spaces, some classrooms have air conditioning and blackboards, and …
I completed a distance learning pedagogy course in the city of Olímpia, at the Objetivo school in Olímpia. I finished my course in 2011, paying all my fees and passing all my exams. However, to this day I have not received my diploma or …
I completed my multi-professional residency in 2017-2018 and my Master's degree in 2019-2020! The facilities are excellent and the professors are wonderful... I had the opportunity to develop as a healthcare professional, both in clinical …
On the day of the exam, it was a mess, but part of that is due to the organization of the exam board as well. Clean bathrooms, ample parking. We stayed for 3 hours and paid R$24.00. The card payment failed at the machine, luckily we had cash.
Worst university I've ever seen in my life!!! RUN AWAY!!! Terrible service, endless disorganization. When you're about to enroll, everything is so easy and wonderful, but when you're about to graduate, you get the news that you're missing …
Honestly, I can't understand how, in the calamitous situation we're living through, there are still people like Jaqueline, the wife of the sports coordinator (Hans), who is extremely arrogant, overbearing, and rude. I don't know if she's …
I've been a student since February 2017 and I've noticed that the University hasn't aged well. It's somewhat disorganized in terms of structural aspects like student support, poor use of physical space, etc. But some staff and professors …
I completed my undergraduate studies at Ulbra starting in 2017. It's a great university focused on teaching for work and knowledge. The coordination and professors are very attentive and always strive to deliver the best. The teaching is …
My experience with ULBRA EAD was frustrating. I requested a simple statement detailing the workload of subjects and complementary activities for external academic purposes. I was instructed to open protocols, creating an expectation of …
The staff needs incredible patience... Archaic structure... They asked for 10 business days to issue transcripts and course outlines for the subjects I took, the deadline was March 8th, 2021, and still nothing! Calling them... YOU WILL …
I had a terrible experience. I went to see a show in the auditorium, a Bruna Marquezine concert, and the power went out several times. The air conditioning was turned off, making it very hot, and to top it all off, the parking payment …
Old buildings, dilapidated bathrooms, exorbitant tuition fees. What maintained the quality of ULBRA was its faculty. Now, around 65 professors have been fired, and the excuse given is cost containment. Yet they are sponsoring Planeta …
The university is only concerned with profit. It focuses solely on the quantity of students and forgets about quality. They don't respect the students and don't even listen to their opinions. They fire professors claiming there's no …
Wow, what a joke! I've been waiting on hold for 8:30 minutes (and I'm still on hold) and no one has answered. I've already memorized what the automated message says. It's a great university, really, with excellent customer service. …
Excellent place, great organization, well organized and punctual. It is of extraordinary excellence. A great example of training. Great teachers and exemplary instructors. Congratulations...
Great Graduation... The Academic "surpasses"
Horrible. The day before graduation they sent an email saying my daughter-in-law wouldn't be graduating because she was missing documents. What?! What kind of organization is that?! What kind of professional works at an educational …
It had everything to be one of the most impactful universities in the southern region, but the mismanagement of the rector and vice-rector ended up sinking this institution. The professors did their best to maintain quality in the …
Excellent university, I'm studying automotive mechanical engineering here, and I'm very satisfied with the course! Although I'm a little disappointed that the museum with the old cars no longer exists, which would certainly be a …
I wanted to record how well I was taken care of during my delivery in September 2025, to thank Dr. Vinicius Conejo and the entire team that was there that day, the anesthesiologist was IMPECCABLE, he was like a father to me! …
They don't answer the phone. I need my extension certificate, which isn't available on NET AULA, and I don't know why. My campus in Gravataí isn't able to resolve this for me. Communication between the units is nonexistent.
I can only express my gratitude for all the care I received during my 5 days in the hospital. I thank everyone from the cleaning staff, nurses, technicians, and doctors for their excellent work; they deserve all the praise.
It's improving, but it remains disorganized and the staff are completely unprepared; they often don't provide the correct information, or even know how to inform the students, resulting in a very low quality of teaching.
This educational institution is already well-known for its quality, now more than ever! The college's infrastructure and the structure of the Dentistry course are commendable. Polite staff and qualified professors. …
Terrible!!! The worst university I've ever seen. On graduation day they tell you that some documentation is missing, a complete lack of care. If you don't want any trouble, RUN, because this is a huge trap, ridiculous.
I loved the place, except that they forgot to attend to me, and there was a 1 hour and 30 minute delay, but it was worth it because the vet was very attentive, gave an accurate diagnosis, and the place is amazing.
Unfortunately, I don't recommend it!!! Lack of respect and consideration for the student!!! You only pay (and it's expensive)!!! Getting into the college (which is bankrupt) is easy, the problem is getting out!!!
Terrible university, terrible service. Complete failure to meet deadlines, they don't answer emails, and when they do, it's to say it will take even longer to respond. My advice is: RUN AWAY from this university.
I studied and graduated in Architecture and Urban Planning and I was always well taken care of; the facilities were very good at the time. I still have friends there today, including some who were professors.
It would be great if teachers respected students' opinions more. There should be more professional ethics on the part of the administration and educators. Students don't live on infrastructure alone!!!!
My brother graduated from Ulbra, and I hope one day I can do some postgraduate studies there, not forgetting that it has been a refuge for many people, which shows that it's not just a university.
Terrible. I'm trying to get in touch with someone to talk about the online course I took a few years ago, and no one seems to know how to get the information I need. I'm already on my third call.
Wonderful experience, I am very grateful to God, and also to this team who received me with so much affection and care.
I already had great recommendations from colleagues at the Dental School.
Online courses really need improvement. The NetAula platform is outdated. There's a lack of interaction from some professors and a lack of feedback from the administration when problems arise.
The place is spacious, the system for filing appointments is a bit confusing, and the staff is a little off-key with people... I'm referring to the 3rd floor for scheduled appointments.
There is a lack of interest in assisting distance learning students. Contacting the campus is already difficult, and when you need them, you see how little they value the students. …
After 25 years, I returned to this university to take a competitive exam. The place remains calm, with many trees, birds, lawns, beautiful dogs, and a vast open area to enjoy. …
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. It's been nothing but trouble since 2007 and I still haven't been able to finish it; they claim they haven't received the course materials. …
I love Ulbra, I'm passionate about it. I'm proud of the place and I recommend it; I studied and worked there! My daughter was born in the Ulbra hospital! I'm proud and I miss it!
For the staff who provide services at ULBRA, it's absurd to have to climb the stairs to the FOURTH FLOOR carrying equipment weighing over 50kg. And there's no service elevator.
The visit to Ulbra was excellent. The service provided by the staff and professors in the laboratories deserves praise!!
Technical School of Radiology, Enrad of São Leopoldo.
I lost my son in that hospital, it's not good, I don't like that hospital, it's terrible, it's usually involved in scandals reported on national television, really terrible.
Neither great nor very good, a "fair" would suffice; this hospital business is complicated, so many people involved in the system, making it difficult to function properly.
Terrible experience… when you need help talking to someone, you can't… trying to resolve issues with a course coordinator and there's no one to help you.
Terrible. …
Terrible service for students. And besides, the only time I went to the university restaurant, it was full of pigeons that were coming in through the window. Disgusting!
Reception staff were good, but the doctors showed complete disregard, surprisingly; it seems they forgot the oath they took. Lamentable, a total lack of humanity.
It's incomprehensible that a hospital that always needs blood donations doesn't have anyone to answer the phone to provide information about donation hours. …
My experience at this university has always been very good; the professors are competent, attentive to the quality of teaching, and empathetic. Fantastic place!
The structure looks great. But the parking is a nightmare. Expensive, and I've already been in line for over an hour to pay. Only two or three payment kiosks.
ULBRA offers a variety of amenities for those who want to learn in theory and practice, focusing on professional, academic, and international training. …
I like the place, I think it's beautiful, although it has changed a lot, it's not like it used to be. I often go for walks there, admiring the scenery.
Complete, with a huge infrastructure, accessible location, and many courses available.
The price is in line with other universities of the same size.
Some of the doctors and nurses on duty and during shift changes could improve. They need to learn to treat EVERYONE WELL. Arrogance is unacceptable.
I don't recommend it; it's very poorly organized, and every semester there's some "surprise" that will give you a lot of headaches and stress.
It's such a wonderful place to visit, and I'm so happy to have studied there and to be able to help the university as a whole whenever I can.
My experience was great!
I had a C-section in 2016 and a normal delivery in 2019. This day, November 12, 2019, was an incredible day. …
The Lutheran University of Brazil has an excellent education. I am a graduate and postgraduate of Ulbra, and I am very proud of it.
And the best hospital we have here in São José Farroupilha, Canoas. Congratulations! All the staff are very polite. 10 out of 10.
I visited the ULBRA Canoas Campus with my family and we were very pleased with the warm welcome from the administration and staff!
Highly regarded by many academics, one of the most sought-after courses by students in the greater Porto Alegre area. …
It has a great structure. Given the institution's age, one can deduce the high level of training of its professionals.
It was once a benchmark. I hope it will return to being the great University of Canoas in the future.
Poor financial support, and the customer service support is just as bad as the finance department's.
Subject: Complaint – Price Change and Breach of Agreement in Course Transfer
Dear Sir/Madam, …
Positive Points
Evening classes start at 7 PM and go until 10 PM
Partially covered parking lot …
I've just started college there, but so far I'm having a great experience with the institution.
How many times was I there, between 2010 and 2012, and in 2015 when transferring back?
Excellent university in Canoas/RS with a wide variety of courses and easy access.
A suitable, clean, and organized environment, with attentive and helpful staff.
I sometimes get training there, I really like it and the place is beautiful.
Customer service centers and debt collection agencies are very disorganized.
A historic university in the region, with a fantastic sports complex!
University hospital and dental clinic with world-class care.
...life is within it...you just have to know how to live...
A great place to study. It has improved in recent years.
Great place. Excellent service at the university.
A beautiful place in direct contact with nature.
Absolutely beautiful, and super organized.
University with a perfect score of 10.
Es um lugar com um hermoso paisaje.
The university is very neglected.
Great university, nice location.
it's a very beautiful place
