NMC reopens Eligibility Certificate portal from 1 to 7 October after candidates report technical issues
The Ethics and Medical Registration Board of the National Medical Commission issued a public notice dated 30 September 2026 giving an additional window to apply online for the Eligibility Certificate. The notice says candidates had been given an opportunity under the earlier notice of 28 August 2026 to apply until 30 September, but some reported that technical issues stopped them from submitting in time. The portal at application.nmc.org.in/register reopened on 1 October at 10 AM and closed on 7 October at 6 PM.
The earlier notice says candidates who are required to hold an Eligibility Certificate from the NMC cannot apply for the FMGE screening test without it. The 30 September notice warns that incomplete applications will be summarily rejected, that the portal closes after the deadline, that issuance involves multiple eligibility checks, and that candidates should watch their email and the portal for updates. The 28 August notice had opened the earlier window from 1 to 30 September 2026. Those who already applied in the past do not need to apply again.
Both notices are on nmc.org.in under What's New; any further window would be announced there.
