NBEMS holds FMGE on 31 October as screening test moves to three sittings a year

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) held the FMGE October 2026 screening test on 31 October 2026. Its FMGE October 2026 information bulletin states that the previous session was conducted on 28 June 2026 and that NBEMS "shall now be conducting FMGE (Screening Test) three times in a year". Online applications ran from 11 September (5 PM) to 25 September 2026 (11:55 PM), with an edit window on 29 and 30 September, an image-correction window from 3 to 19 October, and a deficient-document portal that closed on 21 October with no further opportunity. Test cities were informed on 20 October and admit cards issued on 27 October.

The bulletin says results will be declared by 30 November 2026 and sets the examination fee at Rs 4,650 including GST. Careers360 reported that NBEMS extended an application correction deadline to 23 October, a date the bulletin does not show. Candidates had to upload the primary medical qualification certificate, embassy attestation or apostille, an NMC Eligibility Certificate or admission letter, and proof of citizenship; those who failed to rectify deficiencies were declared ineligible. The exam is governed by the Screening Test Regulations 2002 and NBEMS hands the result to the NMC and state medical councils.

The bulletin is hosted at nbe.edu.in; results will be posted on natboard.edu.in.
