MCC schedules special stray vacancy round for NEET UG 2026 MBBS seats; registration 2 to 4 November
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the DGHS has notified a Special Stray Vacancy Round of NEET UG 2026 counselling for MBBS, alongside a fifth round for BDS and BSc Nursing, in a schedule generated on 30 October 2026 (file no. U-11011/07/2026-MEC). Medical Dialogues reported on 31 October that around 2,000 MBBS seats remain vacant nationwide, most of them in private colleges and deemed universities, with Karnataka, Telangana, West Bengal and Rajasthan each reporting more than 100 unfilled seats.
Registration and payment run from 2 November to 3:00 PM on 4 November (payment from 10:00 AM on 2 November to 6:00 PM on 4 November). Choice filling runs from 2 November to 11:00 AM on 5 November, with choice locking from 4:00 PM on 4 November. Seat allotment is processed on 5 and 6 November, the result is published on 7 November, and allotted candidates must report to the college between 7 and 16 November (up to 5:00 PM server time). A sixth round for BDS and BSc Nursing follows from 17 November with results on 20 November and reporting until 28 November.
