We visited the gynecology department at the hospital today and were cared for by a very friendly and competent team. The lovely midwife Julia, in particular, was very kind and always kept us well informed about what would happen next. Thank you to the entire team. We will always remember our hospital visit fondly during our vacation.
Today, August 28, 2024, I was at the university hospital with my brother. He had a workplace accident on the 22nd of this month and tore the ligaments in his shoulder and collarbone. Today was finally supposed to be the day of surgery. Nothing! We were sent home. Now, the surgery might be on September 4th or 5th. Unbelievable!
I spent several days on the orthopedic ward. And I couldn't have imagined it being better. The nurses are all extremely helpful and kind, and the doctors are very professional. The entire process, from admission to discharge, is extremely structured, and everyone involved is informed about the patient's status.
This is my second time in a short period of time in the hospital. Just like the first time, the treatment was excellent, the staff was great. The food wasn't great, but it was OK for a hospital. I don't understand the many bad reviews. Go to a hospital abroad sometime so you can appreciate it here.
My name is Verena Gaedeke and I was in your hospital from November 24th to 27th, on ward B2 Orthopedics. I would like to thank you again most sincerely. Everything was wonderful from admission to discharge. The doctors and nursing staff were fantastic. Thank you again so much and all the best.
We had only the best experiences in the pediatric intensive care unit. The medical care was excellent, and the medical staff was very kind. We were very satisfied and grateful for the help. Doctors are always available for short-notice consultations. You feel very well cared for. Thank you.
This review refers to the delivery room. We felt well looked after and had someone to talk to at all times. Our midwife was excellent and very professional. The ward generally has fewer deliveries per year, which makes it quite quiet, and you usually get the room you want. Thumbs up
Superbly organized, short waiting time, and even though it was a public holiday, everyone was very competent and friendly. But the absolute highlight was the wonderful Dr. Lüdtke. A truly empathetic doctor who helped my mother and treated her patients as equals. Thank you so much!
I had a 900km journey and was called in for the second time. They were supposed to have tests, possibly requiring an overnight stay. I had an x-ray on the day of arrival, and everything was done in a few minutes. In my opinion, everything could have been resolved over the phone.
I felt very comfortable in this clinic and I'm convinced that this team saved my life, everyone from the professor to the cleaning staff. The nurses and caregivers were simply fantastic. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone. Thank you all so much!!! Ralf from the island ? …
The hospital has deteriorated significantly. I used to think highly of them, but those days are over. Most of the staff can't even manage a greeting off-duty, even though they know exactly who you are. You're discharged without any assistance, despite obvious problems.
Fate brought me here for 15 nights, and it was the right decision. The correct diagnosis was made immediately, and treatment began right away. I thank all the staff in the emergency room and especially those on ward 2.0.B who gave their all. The food was delicious.
My father had previously ordered tests cancelled by a senior physician because they didn't fit the case study. He died while under observation. He was found dead unexpectedly one morning. Perhaps some business-minded doctors should reconsider their career path.
My father, 82 years old, had to sit in the emergency room for almost nine hours on Monday, despite having been admitted. He was in pain, without pain medication, without food, and sitting on a hard chair. I find this deeply undignified and simply unacceptable.
We had an appointment with a senior physician from the pediatric ward (we're from out of town), and 10 minutes before the appointment, he called the nurse (we were just having an EEG) and asked her to tell us that we weren't that important; …
Hello, we would like to thank the orthopedics department again. Our daughter had her first PAO 5 years ago and her second 4 years ago, and both operations went well and helped her a lot. The doctors and nurses on the ward were very nice and …
Greed is rampant there!! I was supposed to be there by noon on Friday – but no one came to take care of me until Monday!!! Did they think I was homeless or something??? They get €600 per night, that was the reason I was supposed to be there …
I just read the negative reviews here, and I have to say, they matched my experience many years ago. Now I've been a guest at this hospital again, but in a completely different department. I can't adequately express how pleasantly surprised …
Actually a great hospital. Unfortunately the neurologist didn't take me seriously and relied on the previous reports. They sent me a psychiatrist who told me no further tests would be carried out. I kept saying that I had abdominal pain but …
The neurology department gives the impression that they perform many examinations that can be billed well. At the very least, there are no adequate justifications for some of the diagnostic tests they perform. Planned stays are arbitrarily …
In fact, both my husband and I have had several bad experiences. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic – incorrect treatment for a cat bite that severed tendons, being placed on the wrong ward, and then, as a septic patient, ending up in …
I've been sitting in the ER waiting room for three hours now, and I already know that no matter what the diagnosis is, I won't be staying here. It started with the fact that, during these times of COVID, you can just walk into the hospital …
We arrived at the emergency room at 10 p.m. and were taken straight to the room by a colleague. He seemed completely uninterested, and there wasn't much to talk about. He wanted my maternity record and everything, but he couldn't say thank …
??A compliment to everyone?? I would like to express my thanks. From the preparation time to discharge, my thanks go to the breast center, the anesthesia department, the recovery room in central operating room 2, and especially to building …
I experienced hell on earth in this hospital. I don't even know where to begin. If it were just the little things like waiting times or rudeness, I would have been okay. My family and I were shocked. The conditions after four misdiagnoses, …
First of all, I would like to thank the nursing staff of the stroke unit and the cardiology ward E1 for their friendly and very caring support and care. Many other colleagues could still learn a great deal from these nurses and caregivers. …
We took our son to the pediatric surgery department for treatment after contacting them via email. We had already consulted several doctors, including at another clinic, for nine months, and despite various diagnostic procedures, we still …
I was hit by a car. After the accident (which was demonstrably not my fault), I was taken to this hospital. The nurse came into the room, touched my hand (she wanted to take a blood sample), and said: "Worker's hands look different." Then …
Friendliness and competent advice 5 stars ? ? ? ? ?. We were greeted warmly, the doctors took their time with the examination and didn't give the impression that everything had to be rushed. The waiting time was reasonable; of course, you …
Undoubtedly, the doctors and nurses working there are hardworking and competent. The hospital is modern, as are the treatment methods. What displeased me, however, was the way emergency patients were treated. Apparently, they don't really …
On July 12, 2024, I had to undergo emergency surgery in my hometown. After the operation, I was discharged to recover and traveled to Usedom to fully recuperate by the sea. Unfortunately, a wound infection developed, and the surgical scar …
I was diagnosed with testicular cancer in February 2023 and was supposed to have it removed immediately by my urologist. So I went to the hospital, where they just did a frozen section instead, after which I was stitched up again, and the …
Last year, I was in the neurology ward with my son. Everyone was lovely and kind, except that we were always told to eat in the playroom for quiet reasons, because of a seriously ill child in the room. Of course, you're considerate out of …
I would like to disagree with what the previous speakers have said, as this is a hospital with many specialties. And when you arrive for an operation, you should always keep in mind that accidents in the operating room also have priority. …
I've never experienced anything like this before. First, despite having an appointment and instructions, I sit in the lounge until the evening because no bed is ready. No one felt responsible for it. The surgery was postponed. So I was in …
I had to take my son to the emergency room with a facial injury. Aside from the fact that the "nice lady" in the Corona tent took up my time to fill out that stupid form while my son (2 years old) was crying and blood was running down his …
I gave birth to my daughter via C-section on May 18, 2022 – my birthday. All the staff were incredibly kind and even wished me a happy birthday. That alone shows they actually talk to each other and read things; I was very touched. I felt …
I was on the neurological ward F2 from August 29th to September 2nd, 2023, with surgery on August 30th, and I can only report very good things. I always felt in very good hands, starting with Dr. Lange, the entire anesthesia team, and the …
I spent a five-day stay at the Greifswald University Hospital, Orthopedics Ward, and would like to share my experience. The staff was extremely friendly and keen to make my stay as pleasant as possible. From the doctors to the nurses and …
I was horrified to learn that the university hospital apparently no longer performs hernia operations. All patients from Greifswald have to go to the hospital in Wolgast (a subsidiary of the university medical center). They specialize in …
Today, I went to the emergency room with my girlfriend, who had just come home from a 48-hour shift in pain, and then to the gynecology ward. There, an older nurse immediately yelled at us, asking why we were only coming now, even though …
I was a patient here as a child when the hospital was a bit older, and even now, in this modern hospital, I've unfortunately had to use the emergency room several times. I have to say that people should complain less about trivial things …
My stay here was made very pleasant. The ENT ward is very well organized. The entire process, from admission to surgery, went smoothly and without any stress. The doctors and nurses are very friendly and helpful. They don't make you feel …
I had surgery in Greifswald on August 22, 2024. The entire neurosurgery team F2 did a fantastic job, from the initial consultation to my discharge. A huge thank you to Nurse Monika and Sandra, who answered every question and were always …
My daughter has very, very severe atopic dermatitis all over her body, with constant itching. She looked simply awful. Our family doctor and our dermatologist have been treating my daughter for two years. My wife and I had enough, so we …
My grandmother was in the hospital there. I traveled from Munich and received a warm welcome and was very well informed. The staff in the ICU were incredibly friendly, except for one woman who couldn't even say hello but opened the door …
If I could, I wouldn't give any stars. The way some staff and doctors (in my case, on ward G1) treat patients and their families is simply appalling. You go there because you need help, and yet you're treated with such condescension and …
My fiancée and I went to the emergency room at Greifswald University Hospital, and I have to honestly say: It was incredibly fast! As soon as she arrived, she was helped immediately, and the entire team was on hand right away. She then …
A huge compliment to the emergency room staff. My wife had severe back pain and could barely walk. The initial assessment was quick. The orthopedist came right away to treat her. The doctor was extremely competent and friendly. A clear …
I was in the dermatology clinic due to erysipelas. I received excellent treatment, and my accompanying medical conditions were also addressed. All the doctors and nurses were always helpful, friendly, and courteous. Opinions may differ …
They send a patient home after she's been referred for a CT scan due to an abnormality on an X-ray. She's given an ultrasound, and that's it. Whether it's a tumor or not, only time will tell. Thanks for nothing. How can a human life be …
The worst hospital I've ever been to. They let people wander there, don't care, and have no clue about anything. They just sit in their glass houses and concern themselves with private matters and not with the people who need care and …
You always feel very well cared for. There's never any stress; all the staff are exceptionally friendly, attentive, empathetic, and helpful. The building and rooms are modern, and the treatments (at least for me) are always excellent. …
The hospital is quite large, but the staff here really take good care of the patients. So I have no complaints in that regard. I felt well looked after. The only thing one could criticize is the food. That's why it doesn't get 5 stars.
The anesthesiologist's receptionist is hell. I had filled out all the paperwork for the preliminary consultation, but the woman accused me of making up illnesses and had me call my doctors to prove that I really did have pre-existing …
Unfortunately, I have often had to rely on the help of the Greifswald University Hospital over the past four years. Without the competent and selfless work of the doctors and nursing staff, I would no longer be alive. Of course, not …
I can't comment on the treatment itself! However, I can on the staff! Some of the nurses seem to be completely unsuited for the job! Unfriendly, annoyed, and just generally quite strange! I didn't get a proper room because none were …
I, too, unfortunately have to say that the quality of care at the University Hospital of Greifswald has declined drastically. Not to mention the emergency room, where you can easily expect a 4-6 hour wait. Now, about the wards I've …
The Neurology Department and Epilepsy Center is perfect and has a wonderful and empathetic team. No matter who it is, you feel very well looked after. Everything was explained. Every question was answered. Thank you for everything. …
We would like to thank the staff in the emergency room. Our stay there was just a snapshot, but it was very satisfactory. The doctors and nurses were highly competent. As tourists from another state, we were seen quickly and taken …
The neurology ward gave me a great welcome. The nursing staff is very friendly. They also take their time and explain everything. Of course, you have to ask questions sometimes, but that's normal. Patients and doctors should also …
Super friendly staff in the neurology department! I felt very comfortable during my short stay. As a student, I was also able to use the university Wi-Fi. Apart from the sticky, boring hospital food, I'm satisfied with the clinic.
I've been receiving treatment at the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Outpatient Clinic and Hospital for almost a year now. The doctors and nursing staff are absolutely top-notch. Their expertise, combined with their friendly and …
So, I ate with my husband for 9 hours in the emergency room even though he was in a lot of pain in his foot, and I can only say that this is unacceptable, and when you say he needs painkillers, nothing comes for hours.
The nursing staff and doctors are doing a fantastic job. Unfortunately, like in all areas, they're severely understaffed and working tons of overtime. The older nurses are, of course, quite adept at nagging. ? …
The positive review goes to the children's ward.
Very friendly nurses, very empathetic, and, above all, very fond of children. My request to push the beds together was not even discussed; it was immediately …
Excellent treatment on the surgical ward after the surgery at the hospital. I felt well looked after, and the staff went out of their way to make my stay as pleasant as possible. A big thank you to the team.

I first visited the Orthopedic Outpatient Clinic at the end of February for an initial consultation. The doctors immediately made a very competent and professional impression on me. …
A disaster. As a university hospital, they should be ashamed of themselves. You've been sitting here since 2:30 p.m., and by 9 p.m. you've tried every chair in the waiting room. …
A complete disaster – over a 4-hour wait! The staff were incredibly kind and hardworking, but unfortunately, the handful of doctors and nurses quickly reach their limits! …
It's actually a very good hospital.
We were very satisfied with the pediatric oncology department.
Very good nursing staff, always friendly, nice, and in a good mood. …
I had surgery and my stay lasted four days. From admission, through anesthesia and surgery, to ward F3, I have only positive things to say. Thank you to everyone.
Everything takes a very long time, but you're helped as best you can, no matter what you have. The restrooms are clean, and the hallways are reasonably clean.
My husband and I arrived late in the evening. Delivery room and maternity ward:
I would rate both areas as "very good." The doctors and nurses were very …
