A Facebook reel, eleven transfers between 9 August and 1 October, ₹22.75 lakh and a BJ Medical College allotment letter the college had never seen: the "PIXEL MBBS" complaint in Ahmedabad

Compiled by TrustMBBS from published news reports ·

The person who paid in this case was a school principal, which is a reminder that admission fraud does not depend on the victim being uneducated. It depends on the victim being a parent.

According to Gujarat Samachar, a principal named in the report as Satishbhai Patel registered a complaint with Ahmedabad police on 9 October 2026 after paying ₹22.75 lakh for an MBBS seat for his daughter that did not exist. The420 and News4Hackers reported the same case. The daughter had seen a Facebook reel in July 2026 advertising a consultancy called PIXEL MBBS; the man she spoke to offered to arrange a seat for ₹30 lakh. Between 9 August and 1 October the family made eleven transfers, each demanded for a different step: registration fees, a service bond, the allotment letter itself, and a no-objection certificate said to be required by the National Medical Commission. On 7 October, ahead of the admission deadline, the family went to BJ Medical College to verify the allotment letter and were told it was fake. One report said the city's cyber cell had arrested two men; the police investigation into the documents and bank transactions was continuing.

Every element of the method is standard and appears in other cases on this site: the reel, the staged payments each justified by an official-sounding document, the invented "NMC NOC", and the allotment letter in the name of a real government college. What is useful about this case is the date the fraud was discovered. The family checked with the college on 7 October, after the last payment. Had they checked after the first, the loss would have been the registration fee.

MCC and state counselling authorities allot government MBBS seats by rank through their own portals; no consultancy can produce a BJ Medical College allotment letter, and no fee is paid to anyone but the counselling authority and then the college. Verify the first document with the college, not the last.
