💬 Student Reviews

Real reviews from students. All ratings and reviews are taken on 21st January 2026.

Nicolas David

Very expensive for what it is unfortunately. Impossible to take photos in the library and there are much more beautiful places elsewhere. What is incomprehensible is the visit to the science museum which is included in the price even though it is very far away. We feel that this is to inflate the price of the bill.

gedilson moura pereira Pereira

Local visit during the Covid era!!! People were seen very quickly!!! There's a parking lot behind the hospital, and there were spaces available the day I went!!! I couldn't get an appointment because of Covid!! But the hospital has a very good structure!! The location is also very good, very green and airy.

Joost Smulders

Terrible. Beds 40 cm apart and two behind each other. Staff too busy to communicate. Admission, medically necessary, was impossible. Instead, I spent 20 hours in the emergency room with 35 other patients. The tests were, however, as required for TIA symptoms.

Vítor Silva

Excellent and outstanding, the best hospital in Europe for liver transplantation, and not only that, but the professionals are also the best in terms of friendliness, education, and helpfulness towards the patient. They are fair and humble …

dias amelia

It's a shame for our country, which is advanced in many things, that the families of patients have to wait many hours for a doctor's decision that could sometimes take only 5 minutes, and there wouldn't be such large gatherings of people.

Mobeen Haneef

I went here to get help from the student hub (educational services). I needed to update some information in the inforestudante records. It is much better to come here instead of sending them emails. They solve the problems quickly. …

Sérgio Lopes

It is the oldest university in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe. It occupies one of the top spots in the ranking of the best in the world. Its historical and artistic components are also well above average compared to others.

Antonio Pasqualette

The courtyard of the medical school complex, including the library, chapel, and museum, is enormous. I didn't have access to the library, but the museum and chapel are worth a visit, as is the architectural complex of the University.

Alex “2ndLife”

Everything was out of the ordinary, in the best possible way. I'd give it a 7, 8, 9, or even a 10+ because it deserves it. I have absolutely no complaints. It's simply a perfect place to go when you have serious health problems.

Luís Pereira

What can I say about the medical school? Well, I didn't even go near it, but Google thinks I did. Maybe that's why Google Maps always sends me through narrow alleys and dirt roads that ruin my car's suspension.

Jose Santos Leal

After 8 hours and so many requests to be told that the patient would remain hospitalized in the ward for almost 24 hours, we sat there for 8 hours on the cold stone where the ambulances stop.

serge schout

Spend three months here at the university of Coimbra. A wonderful time and i have met great people, some of them are my friends. The ancient library something you have to see for yourselves.

dai

There is nothing around the station. There are no luggage storage facilities or coin lockers. I took a taxi and had it wait for me. There is a ticket booth on the left just before the gate.

Cybel Navarrete

High quality care, its staff is always ready to assist you with kindness and great attitude, all of them make your recovery faster and in a less painful way. KUDDOS FOR ALL OF THEM!

sancho Antunes

This is the second time I've come in with a sinus infection, and the second time they've sent me to a general practitioner. My problem is getting really annoying, and... damn it!

Cidonio Rinaldi

Founded in 1290 by King D. Dinis, the University of Coimbra is the oldest in Portugal and one of the oldest in Europe, having had a Faculty of Medicine since its inception.

Miguel Pereira

This part of the Faculty of Medicine is already, in a way, deactivated and has been transferred to the Health area near the CHUC (Coimbra University Hospital Centre).

Vera Pinho

Three times I received a letter with an appointment, and when I arrived at the hospital, they told me that the appointment wasn't registered in the system.

Heitor Gomes

The parking lot was chaotic, with endless lines to get in, lines for the elevator, lines for the consultation counter, and finally, a wait to be seen.

Minela Felgar

Always excellent service from all the professionals... from the security guard at the entrance to all the assistants and the specialist... thank you.

Maria Amaral

In terms of information provided to family members, it's terrible; they don't even answer the phone, as there's only one number for all emergencies.

T. Tendais

Good atmosphere among medical students.
You can make a group of friends, not just colleagues, that lasts beyond the time spent at university.

Carlos Manuel Silva

I had an appointment with the ophthalmologist today, and I was very well taken care of by all the healthcare staff. Thank you! ???? …

??????? ??????

An ancient and respected university. The Royal Palace was donated to the university's scholars and students in the 16th century.

Carlos d' Eça

The historic university building, now with a new life, or rather, with many new lives in service of university education.

Tereza Ejemová

I really like this place! University has a big amazing museum of biology, chemistry and physics. My favorite is biology!

Maria Da Graça Mariz

Although the wait was long in the emergency room, it's understandable. I liked the service; everyone was very attentive.

jose camacho

The care from the doctors and nurses is really very good, I appreciate their willingness to assist my wife ???? …

LUIZ ANTONIO FOGAÇA

That's wonderful...that's why I want to know how I can re-enroll in the medical program at that college.

Alice Mariquinhas

A good place to study for anyone who wants to have a successful career in the healthcare field...!!!

Piero Grandi

A beautiful and historic university worth visiting. A visit to the library is highly recommended!

Sonia Alves

Excellent doctors and assistants, fast service, thank you to everyone who took care of my father.

helena guiomar

A world apart of monumental buildings with the history of students, 'doctors,' 'engineers,' etc.

Eric Gabet (gold2cab)

Respect health guidelines, long wait times, no parking available, taxi and bus available nearby.

Cecile Medeiros

Very beautiful place. The price of the visit is a bit high for Portugal. There are paid toilets!

Raúl

An interesting place to see, a charming building, and a very interesting mural at the entrance.

adriano gaspar

I am being treated very well, all the staff have been outstanding, thank you all very much.

Quite old, front needs some renovation. Visitors not welcome and escorted back to entrance.
