The University of Port Harcourt is a university in the Nigerian city of Port Harcourt . It was established in 1975 as University College, Port miHarcourt and was given University status in 1977. The University of Port Harcourt was ranked the sixth in Africa and the first in Nigeria by Times Higher Education (THE) in 2015.
This is my school, where i currently study computer science in my MSc programme. This is A prestigious University that gave birth to so many Nigerian Actors, Politicians and celebrities one of which is His Excellency Dr GoodLuck Jonathan former president of Nigerian and the past and present Governors off River state.
University of Portharcourt will stress you. Spent the whole day applying for transcript. Most of the buildings are not accessible by wheelchairs. Like all things owned by government federal and state alike, elevators in buildings that have them are not in use. I would assume it is faulty.
A lovely, serene, calm and amazing environment. A true reflection of the Garden City of Nigeria with nice flowers, trees, hospitable people, unique students and state of the art edifice. A place to visit during winter and summer. A visit to her centre of excellence is second to none.

The faculty is neat and cool for studying. The lecture halls can accommodate good number of students. There's also an affordable and maintained restroom behind Center for Logistics and Transport building which is close to this faculty.
A great tertiary institution of learning. It's nice for education and research with various faculties. It's a federal university situated in Choba and some part of Alakahia. It also boasts of one of the best sport facilities around.
My experience was unique as I navigated through the vast land area of the school and observed students and other individuals navigating as well. The weather was not really friendly as constant showers of rain often visited the area.
