SLMC opens degree approval portal for ERPM and ERPDS 2027; foreign graduates must apply by 27 November
The Sri Lanka Medical Council said in a notice dated 1 October 2026 that its online Degree Approval Portal for the ERPM Examination 2027 and the upcoming ERPDS examination opened at 9 am on 5 October and closes at 4 pm on 27 November 2026. Foreign medical and dental graduates who have not yet obtained degree approval must apply through the portal; late applications will not be accepted.
Uploading the degree certificate is mandatory, and applications with incomplete attachments are rejected without clarification. Degree approval interviews are scheduled from 5 November to 4 December 2026, with originals to be produced at interview, and approval letters are to issue on 4 January 2027. Applicants who hold an account from an earlier cycle must first ask for it to be deleted. False information can lead to action by the council. On the same day the SLMC published a code of conduct for institutions running ERPM mock OSCEs, banning ERPM-specific mock exams within 30 days of the official exam and any advertising of predicted questions; on 5 October it posted the ERPM Part I and Parts A and D timetable for October 2026, and on 29 October the August/September 2026 pass list.
