Very organized campus with unique collegiate system. Student accommodation is clean and comfortable. There are laundry shop which includes washing and drying in access. There are seminar rooms, library, learning zone and computer rooms for group and self study. Im doing my second year and enjoying my time here in Lancaster University <3
I had my master degree in project management in 2005. Though the time was short, it was a great experience here. So exited that I am coming back to visit the campus as a tourist next week after my graduation 15 years ago, with my wife, who also graduated here, and 2 kids! Can't wait to see the campus again. Must changed a lot!
Wouldn’t say it’s a beautiful campus, I studied in BC, Canada before, which is a much nicer place. However, it’s a good place to study as there’s no distractions nearby (small town). The staff here are really friendly and the school cares about their students. They’re doing a great job in all aspects.
After three years of studying here, I can say that if you want a university that’s only good on promoting themselves on being “top 10” while having no emotional support and empathy to students then this is the one for you! They don’t even bother to fix a simple water fountain in the library for a year
I had so much hope for this university but unfortunately it hasn’t lived up to my expectations or what they offered me. the mental health support so far has been lacklustre, and i feel very unsupported. they also extort us financially in regards to rent reductions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Wide open spaces, modern facilities, good quality accomodation, although the en suite is a little small and not enough fridge/freezer space per student. Plenty of on site branded facilities - Greggs, WHS, Costa, Post Office, Spar, Coffee Republic, Subway etc. Buses to Lancaster and Morecambe
Dissapointing. Very limited mental health support and they were happy for me to walk away without my University Degree aged 22. But now aged 40 I got my BA (Hons) from London University, a PGCE from UCL and 2 Music Diplomas Diplomas from Trinity College London!!! Thank you London ? …
Stayed in the university accommodation for two nights. The room was filthy. There were squashed insects on the walls. The room was so dusty that I had trouble breathing during the night (dust allergy). The bedding and mattress must have been about 20 years old and were terrible.
I am currently having one of the best times of my life in this excellent academically challenging and world leading institution......
it is a bit expensive and it rains a lot, also hope you like 60's soviet bloc architecture, because lancaster certainly does.
Not a good place for building snowmans but a good place and environment for study abroad. I met many of my good friends here, everyone is good and takes care of me all the time like family. Cannot believe we had just known each other for few months
Not impressed at all. Staff messed up big time with course paperwork, caused LOADS of stress/distress to someone who's already ill, and now wants to scam them for a huge, ridiculous amount of money, for no services provided. We are strongly …
I completed my undergraduate degree at Lancaster and graduated July 2016. I had an amazing 3 years. I knew it was going to be my firm choice as soon as I visited on an open day. The campus is lovely with a brilliant atmosphere - There's so …
This University is a Very Nice Place to Study For A Degree. The Area Has Received Considerable Investment. The Facilities Are Exceptional. All The Staff Are Very Professional. Abundant Opportunities Exist for Continuation onto Many Masters …
We visited for the open day and overall we were very impressed. Everyone we spoke to were helpful and polite. The Margaret Fell lecture theatre was great, the other lecture theatre there we visited was quite as good, certainly not from the …
I was heavily discriminated against for being autistic here. The staff at the wellbeing services are some of the most unapologetically awful people I've ever met. Additionally, almost all the fieldwork on my course was cancelled and I was …
Took our daughter to the open day. We were impressed with the campus. Its modern, clean well designed and its highly regarded as a top university. Plenty of student accommodation available on site, with a good choice for different types …
Lovely study environment, and a top 10 UK institution. It has good student accommodation although fairly comfortable and not on the high side. Great quality in teaching and research and they help students with careers and job placements, …
My take on the University as an Exchange student, the university prides itself on being #9 in the UK. If you got to a school that's in the top 200 in the US than you go to a better university than this one. The staff is unprofessional at …
It was ok. The only thing I have to complain about, was that I asked a dark haired young ish bloke driving a VW golf for directions. He decided to send me on a wild goose chase. I asked another person instead of following his advice, who …
I enjoyed joined it so much Sunna and stream room is so dead relaxing it right temperature is good but I can feel it getting used it of the rest of the heat is good relaxed for me to get used to relaxing in there is better Unversity boys …
Graduated last year studying management and IT and my time here was brilliant. The campus is very appealing with everything close by, the town is alright with plenty of student nights going on, the teaching is of a decent quality and you …
Lancaster University is a fantastic institution with a strong reputation for academic excellence. The campus is beautiful, the facilities are top-notch, and the professors are highly knowledgeable and supportive. The university offers a …
Enjoyed getting a whistlestop tour from a current student. Buildings really nice, though like all campus university's has strong theme park vibes (mostly from aggressive signage) Interesting to hear about the history of the names of the …
If I could give it zero stars I would. Not everything about this university is terrible, but I graduated in 2020. A year we were all told that exams were cancelled however we could take them if we wish. Two days before the examination, …
My Mum used to work at Lancaster University in the engineering department as a secretary, my dad used to work as an engineer and what days they were way back in the 90s it was so much smaller than it is now.. It's bigger than it looks …
Terrible Admission Staff. I applied in July 2016 and received a decision on my application in January 2017. It took them approximately 6 months to assess my application. Fortunately, I used these months to apply to another university, …
If your a POC I don’t recommend this place, they think racism is ok. Disgusting approach to helping students and disgusting member of staff who call students names and make them pay for things that they don’t have anything to do with.
Visit was for a Covid/flu vaccination. We'll organised, calm, cheery faces. Competent road, parking, administration staff , and relatively fast.. given numbers attending. I hope those staff received some level of payment.
On this occasion I was going to KCs Caribbean food is amazing, I would definitely recommend it. I have previously had a tour of the uni and it has such a lovely feel to it. I haven't personally attended the university.
Lovely campus filled with friendly people. Can be quite confusing trying to get from building to building but signposts and campus maps are posted at more populated areas and people are happy to help with directions.
Overall really enjoyed my undergrad here. I hardly ever left campus due to the remoteness, so this won’t appeal to everyone. Accommodation on the whole was pleasant, if a little expensive (grizedale). …
Friendly staff and amazing teaching facilities. Spacious campus with many stunning views and sunsets. Even a lovely woodland trail for walks or runs. Has everything you need all in one campus community.
Well, having studied at Lancaster University for my MSc and PhD and developed my knowledge and skills surrounded by inspiring people, I can only enjoy this environment and spend good words for this uni!
My daughter has suffered 3 years of disappointment from poor business tutors and then it gets to graduation time…
Arrived very early for good seats, partially sighted guest, system error, waited …
Where to begin… if you’re considering going to Lancaster University, do it.
It is true what they say, university is the best experience you will ever have, especially at Lancaster University. …
Semi rural setting on edge of town. Good transport links, and top graded academic facilities. Highly rated. Many excellent sports facilities. Lancaster House Hotel next door. Use junction 33 of M6.
The teaching is great, better than any well-known schools in UK. You get to learn useful knowledge and practical skills in here, but unfortunately, the whole application process was an entire mess.
One of the best universities in UK and I have wonderful experience while studying here. Campus accommodation is also very good. Good halal food options, grocery stores and coffee shop on campus.
Stayed in guest room here. Overpriced with a very uncomfortable bed. 6/10 for breakfast but the noisy motorway, mouldy shower and musty smelling towel contrived to leave me less than satisfied.
Picturesque location with a sprawling area, surrounded by dense forestation and mountains. Well planned college structures and recreational areas. Ample of parking spaces and quality education.
What a place. The students are seem to have everything they need on campus and what I have seen the opportunity to learn is fantastic. If you are ready for uni definitely give Lancaster a look.
The uni's care for my son during COVID left a lot of room for improvement. Also, his course still has not returned to in person lectures despite the rest of the world returning to normal. …
Terrible university. It's a business, not a university. Has a good sales pitch and social media profile but as a university and place of learning, very poor. No way a top ten UK university.
PREJUDICAL & BIASED TUTORS
Very bad experience with prejudical and biased eployees. Apparently if you take care of your family, work full time and study full time (showing high level of …
Lancaster uni campus beauty and playfulness along with the academically excellent engineering and computing departments make it one of the best places on this planet to study your degree
Great university! From a first year's point of view the services on campus are plenty, enough to suit different tastes in food, entertainment, sports. Enjoying every second of it.
Went to the open day. It was busy and yes there were some restrictions due to Covid19 but on the whole a nice experience. The physics lecture bored me but it's all above me lol
A great university with outstanding facilities and faculty. The students are motivated and invest a substantial amount of time working towards succeeding in the future.
Amazing new sports center with the latest TechnoGym equipment. COVID safety measures in place limiting the number of users and booking required for each time slot. …
Student here in my 3rd year and love the campus layout American style and very appealing. Loved the uni itself everyone gets on and the learning areas are brilliant.
Lancaster University consistently puts profits before student. As a disabled student I had to jump through lots of unnecessary hoops to get the support I needed.
I studied here 1979-83 at the Economics Faculty where I
got my PhD under Prof A I MacBean
I stayed at flat 6 Bowland College
A great place to stay and study
Do never use the airport shuttle which the university offers. I had to wait 3 hours for the coach despite booking a given time slot. Shittiest arrival ever
The university experience is good but I’m so upset with what it has done to my face. I have gained so much weight on my face due to severe stress!!!!!!
Returned here today for a university safety film, it was great to come back to the place I graduated from 9 years ago, brought back many happy memories.
I'm currently a first year undergraduate in Ethics, Philosophy and Religion and I love it! Good teaching and resources as well as an excellent campus!
Ample parking. Great accomodation. Situated on green belt location with lots of restaurants & takeaways. Hope my son achieves his goals & ambitions.
Brilliant University! Graduated from Lancaster in 2016 having studied Politics and International Relations and I can't recommend it highly enough!

Graduated last summer after the best 3 years of my life. Met some amazing people and hoping to go back to complete my Master's.
Good campus, small University and all departments at one place, away from city so a pleasing, quiet and healthy atmosphere.
Nice college campus that's surrounded by nature! Also a good place to do run circuit or cycling, or even just for walking.
In my final year of University here, best experience of my life. Computer systems are top notch and lecturers are fun. …

Great University experience. Up to date modern facilities and an exceptionally high standard of teaching
Beautiful campus although with all the construction work it can be a little difficult to navigate around
Taking grandaughter back for the new term
Very spacious campus and well thought out in terms of access.
Great university suiting at up north with amazing landscape and view, currently top 10 in our country.
Only went to pick up our daughter. The sure is clean& tidy & all the staff we met were friendly.
Very nice university that makes you feel at home. Lots of places to eat, relax and learn.
Very smart and welcoming. Plenty of cafes and shops on campus for people just visiting.
Inspiring, relevant, vibrant. Well organised open day with enthusiastic ambassadors :)
Well organised and nice campus surrounded by greenery. Staffs are friendly & helpful.
It was a great open day experience for my son good presentation and tour afterwards
