I'm a graduate, I love the autonomous community, I love the friends I make there, the camaraderie, and the warmth. But customer service is unspeakable, and I won't say what it is. Years go by and it's still just as terrible. You leave, come back 20 years later, and the service and customer service are just as terrible and depressing!
A large university campus. Interesting as a historical site as well. Dating back to 1538, it's the oldest university in the Americas. It's easily accessible and a public university. The buildings are spacious and airy, and the university atmosphere is very pleasant. There are auditoriums, libraries, and other public spaces to enjoy.
The University of the Dominican People, the institution from which thousands of professionals graduate and are increasingly recognized with honors! The guiding light for our youth upon completing high school. The hope for a dignified life for the majority of our Dominican youth, the UASD is always present among those most in need.
The campus of the oldest university in the New World is excellent, housing various departments of this prestigious institution founded in 1538. It features sports facilities for different disciplines, including baseball. There is ample parking on its paved streets and another covered parking garage with several levels.
It is truly the best university in the Dominican Republic because it not only educates you intellectually but also as a person, and those who graduate from here are true professionals because all the internal obstacles that affect the student body serve no purpose other than to forge fighters, excellent.
It has a reputation as the first university in the Caribbean, but constant struggles for improvements and student strikes have turned it into an unpleasant place, where degrees take longer than usual and, worse, it's even dangerous to study there. I wish I could say otherwise, but that's the reality.
Excellent university atmosphere. Although some facilities aren't very functional, we can also find beautiful facilities in excellent condition. It's a fairly large university, where you can meet thousands of people from different classes, and it's centrally located in the National District.
The best university in the whole world! The best architecture school, the best engineering faculty, the largest campus, the university of opportunity for the low-income, and best of all, the degree is worth more than all the degrees from all the universities in the country combined. ;)
The worst university there is. An administrative disaster, the people in charge of providing information don't know where their heads are, and ridiculous dress codes (they won't let you in with jeans ripped at the knee, but they do let women in shorts and miniskirts).
The first university in the New World boasts the finest library in the Caribbean, a pharmacy, a bank, a dispensary, a cafeteria, restrooms in all faculties, parking for all students, security cameras throughout the campus, and public spaces for studying.
I'm a UASD graduate and I'm proud to see the excellent change you've made at our University of the Dominican Republic. Happy and grateful to see my university continue to improve structurally. I hope it continues to provide better service to students.
Excellent university, very good teachers, a wide range of careers to choose from, hopefully the strikes that sometimes prevent teaching can disappear, students should not pay the consequences of the disorder of the charlatans who stir everything up.
I don't recommend UASD to anyone. If you can afford ANY other university, do it. The incompetence they allow many professors to display is incredible, especially in online classes. Very few of them know how to teach a good online class. And …
UASD, my beloved university. It's a mixed bag, but so far I've had a very good experience. Some professors are excellent, others not so much. You have to work really hard to sort things out sometimes. The parks are usually dirty, as are the …
It's the cheapest university in the Dominican Republic, but be aware it's not free. It currently has the largest student body and the highest dropout rate. It's recommended for master's degrees, doctorates, and postgraduate studies, as it's …
Overall, I'm incredibly happy to be studying at this university, although it's true that in the 21st century, there are still mediocre professors who, if they don't like a student, will hold them back. They harass and disrespect me if they …
Our beloved alma mater is the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, the Dominican State University. It offers many programs that other universities in our country don't offer. Its magnificent Rector, Professor Editrudis Beltrán. Elected …
The UASD, celebrating its 485th anniversary, is the first university in the Americas. This is the oldest center of higher education in the New World. Thousands of great professionals in all areas of knowledge have been trained and continue …
Hello UASD, I have always wanted to be from there, well anyway, I need the spiritual zone of that university to please remove every sign from me, you Mr. Director of the UASD know this, well on the other hand, the people who have something …
The Dominican Republic's preeminent university stands out as an educational pillar, hosting approximately 180,000 students, an emblematic figure that reflects its commitment to academic excellence and social transformation. With a mission …
The first university in the Americas, the only university in the country that is affordable for any social class, where thousands upon thousands of professionals have graduated, including many important figures in society today, providing …
The Primada de América, as it is known for being the first in the new world. Founded on October 12, 1538, it celebrates 482 years in 2020, almost five (5) centuries serving well-being, happiness and human development in Latin America and …
The UASD is one of those universities where learning is a given, but its lack of exclusivity leads to a decline in quality. I'm referring to the strikes that take place, the lack of classroom space, the students who come for reasons other …
Large but not very clean. Excellent for people with limited resources, it has a great library and a very large public cafeteria. However, I don't recommend studying here if you have other options, as many professors aren't teachers; they …
Two days ago, on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, I was doing some work at the Banreservas bank located inside the university. I left my wallet in the parking lot behind the bank (obviously without realizing it). I left the bank, and when I got …
It is the oldest university in the Americas, founded in 1538. Its facilities are constantly being renovated. It is located within the university campus. It has several teaching buildings. Among these buildings is the Pedro Mir Library, a …
This is an excellent institution. The only minor issue is that the vast majority of employees—customer service representatives and cashiers—show absolutely no manners or respect when providing service. They seem anything but customer …
A university where people born in the Dominican Republic can pay between 5 Dominican pesos or slightly more for a university education committed to the transformation of Dominican society and the world. Its spirit of solidarity was born …
I love its age and its architecture. These photos intentionally don't include people, but when the atmosphere is so vibrant, it's worth sitting on the library steps around 5:30 pm, listening and watching. At that moment, you realize you …
I'm giving it three stars, and I think that's too much. The university has some good points, but far too many bad ones. One of them is the unnecessary and poorly planned construction projects. A recent example is the high school they're …
the best university in the world, I wouldn't trade it for another, it has its flaws and its virtues, like everything in life nothing is perfect,....only God is perfect.... my beloved UASD!!!, the good thing about the UASD, is that you …
There are many things about the UASD that must change, for example, that they leave 40% of the classes virtual to avoid overpopulation of the classrooms, that the teachers be more updated with the class methodology since the majority …
This photo was taken last year by my son, Octavio De Jesús Mirabal Lora, in a makeshift tent at the Alma Mater of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo while we were waiting for his graduation ceremony as a general practitioner.
It is a decent university I can't say is good because you come across a lot of crazy professors with no supervision of whatsoever. I also moved to another country and their system is so ancient that you can't get or transfer your …
The UASD has a long history of defending the oppressed peoples of the world. The oldest university in the Americas, it is an excellent educational institution for the most disadvantaged students and everyone in general, creating …
It's absolutely beautiful, quiet, clean, with attractive landscaping and a refreshing natural breeze. It looks so different now, freshly painted and delicate. Considering its history of disarray, the difference is truly remarkable.
The UASD was the focal point of my genuine desire for self-improvement. I was pleased to see how it has changed for the better, and I hope that its authorities and students will always maintain it in the best possible condition.
I went to the vaccination clinic; everything was very well organized and the staff at the economics faculty were excellent. I really liked the facilities, the organization, the gardens, the spaciousness of the streets, etc.
The campus is really big and wide!! Wow, you won't believe me if you don't visit it one day!! Very large parking spaces, very secure, very clean and the most moving thing is the famous La Sirena supermarket opposite.
A very good educational institution, with many programs for all tastes and world-renowned. Now expanding nationwide, providing opportunities for people who, for one reason or another, can't attend the capital city.
It's a mess. A bottomless pit. During the quarantine, everyone was paid, and no student could take classes. Why, despite all the money the university receives, does it have an online platform that's useless?
It's one of the best universities in the country. It gives the poor the opportunity to pursue a degree. Furthermore, because it's state-run and receives funding through the national budget, it's affordable.
A good place if you're looking to move up the ladder, with a large area for outdoor recreation. Very good teachers and easy access to cheap or varied meals out, copy shops, stationery stores... all nearby.
The best university in the country with the best professionals in every field. Like any institution, it has its ups and downs, but it continues to lose quality in the training of its professionals. …
I missed the campus, but both virtual and in-person services are being offered, and it's worth noting that the service is more efficient than before, and COVID-19 prevention measures are being taken.
The institution is very prestigious, and the quality of its teaching is undeniable. However, the service leaves much to be desired. Even so, I like the institution because of its years of experience.
The UASD has a very good reputation at the pedagogical level, but the charlatanism of some professors, as well as the constant strikes and class stoppages, make it difficult to advance in studies.
An excellent university, what it really lacks is organization and the enforcement of the institution's laws and regulations to end the injustice and mistreatment that students often receive.
My beloved university, the oldest in the Americas. You who have been singled out by the hypocrisy and barbarity of those who offer their heads and place them on the platter of tyranny. …
Our old, even more outstanding University of the New World is very interesting. Everything is well-organized, the buildings are very fluid, and the buildings are extremely beautiful. …
I think that knowing each graduate brings family to the ceremony, they should provide more chairs. Yesterday it was a nightmare ?. Too hot, too few chairs, and only one screen. …
East entrance to the UASD. Poor staffing. Only one of the access gates is open. Car traffic is not easy. The staff is pedantic and ineptly demeaning. There is no customer service.
One of the best universities in the country, the problem is that it's very poorly managed and has many shortcomings that prevent it from raising its standards—a real shame. …
One of the best University in the Dominican Republic, however it needs to separate politics from the learning system. It also needs to update its system from semester to quarter.
My stomach turns just looking at that university. It's good, but the frustrated professors are very abusive. In this country, the less you have, the more they sink you.
Delighted to see that good work can be done, but they need to be more careful with the restrooms. Just because it's public doesn't mean it has to be bad. Very good!
One of the first universities in America built by the Spanish upon their arrival, although it is said that Mexico has one certified as the first in the New World.
It was good, this time I went to do a photo shoot @produccionesurena for a friend and because of the pandemic everything is very quiet and without many people
An excellent university for those who truly desire to acquire knowledge, overshadowed by constant revolts, strikes, and riots over political differences. …
Despite everything, it's an excellent university, especially for those who can't afford a private one. They've recently renovated some of the buildings.

Excellent! We hadn't had in-person classes for several years, and now we're back with even more enthusiasm to resume our undergraduate studies. …
It's an excellent university; it's very large, with diverse departments and faculties, and it's state-subsidized. It's very clean and organized.
Very good, very large university. I got lost hahahaha I think it was better to move inside the vehicle because I got tired of being so big...
My University Campus...my Alma Master...all I could made was for the glorious days I spent into their Classroom. Thanks, thanks, thanks...
It is the oldest university in the Americas, founded on October 28, 1538, by a Papal Bull issued by Paul III, "In apostolus culmine." …

It's not worth it; I suggest you go to a private school. At least you'll be able to complain and speak up.
The diversity of opinions among the faculty is one of the best things about UASD, in my opinion. …
Quality education maintains a peaceful environment for students, teachers, and the general public.
Excellent service, very hygienic bathrooms, excellent signage, great cleanliness and decoration.
If you dedicate to learn the curriculum you will be among the best even across IVY schools.
Need to learn something? I'm sure that if you ask anyone here, they'll know all about it!
It 'a wonderful place to learn. Nice, quiet and amazing. I really really apreciate.
The only university in the country that teaches some careers like mine: biology.
That seemed fine to me.
1. The administrative tower is open until 5:00 PM. …
It is an excellent institution of higher learning, but it is poorly managed.
Nice university and everything but suddenly you can go into a strike.
Good morning, I would like to inquire about the sexologist course.
Excellent facilities, very organized with an academic atmosphere.
Excellent measures to prevent COVID-19 infections. Successes
Beautiful university, quite organized and friendly staff
