Inpatient treatment following knee surgery (new knee joint). Very friendly and always helpful staff (Ward 5012). High level of expertise (surgery went perfectly). The food was varied for such a large hospital and perfectly acceptable in terms of preparation. I am very satisfied and can highly recommend this hospital.
A huge hospital with all the weaknesses of such a large organization. But people are healed and saved here every day. Thanks to the many people who work hard here and conduct research to help us. I know many people who have been treated here and am glad that this opportunity exists.
I came with a friend, a former employee here and never again will I go to this doctors office. One of the staff Hain I think was unfriendly and seemed to not know what she was doing. My friend was dismayed that a staff member could have such difficulty reading a medical chart.
The wait in the emergency room is beyond unbelievable. After four hours, I gave up and left. I only needed to extend my sick note, and other patients were waiting much longer. Sorry, I understand that children and emergencies naturally take priority, but this is unacceptable.
I was hospitalized for a week in the internal medicine department in mid-October 2025. Since then, I've requested an invoice for the treatment half a dozen times (I'm a private patient residing in Switzerland). As of early January, I still haven't received it. What a mess...
Inhumane behavior in neurological diagnostics. Patients are yelled at and treated condescendingly. When you imagine that seriously ill people experience such interpersonal horrors there, you don't want to get sick yourself. I hope you are ashamed of your behavior.
Anyone making an appointment here should plan for plenty of time. Our appointment was at 11:45 am (eye clinic), and we were finished after 3.5 hours. Thanks, but no thanks! The only positive thing is that wheelchairs are available everywhere. But that's about it.
This is our second time on a children's ward. The doctors are nice. The food is okay. However, it really needs some renovations. The rooms are simply too small when you're accompanied by a child. When I saw the bathroom, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
The staff and doctors on ward 2014, Pediatric Cardiology, were incredibly unfriendly. They were only friendly for one hour the entire week, and that was only when the patient came in through a doctor! I've never experienced such a terrible hospital! ? …
A great hospital with a highly competent team! The UMG is a true center of excellence with professional and dedicated care. I would especially like to highlight the pediatric wards – the caring and empathetic staff take truly excellent care …
