As a student at UFSC, I must say that I find it a great place to be. It's generally a calm place with a very good vibe, especially the areas surrounded by nature (and many do). Anyone who visits can feel the positive aura emanating from the air, provided by young, creative, and intelligent souls, typical of university settings.
One of the most pleasant places in Florianópolis. Full of trees, benches, grass, super relaxing and beautiful. Great place to take your pet; on Wednesdays there's a great fair, full of good food and several options for vegetarians. Go on a sunny Wednesday, sit down and enjoy the music and the food.
It's a good place, large with several common areas. However, it's run-down, the infrastructure is old, there's tall grass, and it's not safe to walk or park. It's still considered one of the best universities in the country despite the strikes and allegations of corruption within the administration.
I went to get vaccinated. The staff treated me very well...it was very cold...the teams' efficiency was essential! I hope everyone gets vaccinated soon!!!! Thank you to the people on the front lines! Vaccines for everyone! Long live the SUS (Brazilian public healthcare system)! Long live science!
A very large place with great potential, but extremely poorly maintained. The buildings look abandoned, the grass is overgrown, and there's a lack of signage. Despite this, the university's grades are high, demonstrating that the courses are good. But the campus really leaves much to be desired.
It's falling apart, dirty. It's very difficult to find anyone working to address and resolve the problems of former students.
Requests have a 60-day deadline to be resolved, but 6 months later they haven't even started the process... they don't even know what's going on.... a shame, negligence!!
More specifically, I was at the University Hospital. Nothing serious, I just needed a few stitches… ?? Not that I wish you ever need to go to a hospital emergency room, but if it happens, I guarantee you'll receive excellent care from dedicated and qualified professionals! …
Certainly, a quality public university, training highly qualified professionals and critical citizens! A university with green spaces for walking and leisure! A wonderful library! In defense of public universities and the Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology!
The planetarium is broken, inactive, and therefore leaves much to be desired. On July 27, 2018, more than 500 people went to the site to try to appreciate the total red lunar eclipse, but the weather conditions were unfavorable, and all I managed to get were these photos.
It was a consultation, and we waited for the appointment at 1:15 PM, even though my mother and I had been there since 7:30 AM. Aside from that, everything went well, and we arrived at 4:20:55 PM. Everything was fine, but it was a whole day spent inside a hospital.
