I was very very disappointed in some important details the staff at the hospital missed and the things they didn't have that they should have. The room was gross and half the things didn't work. Once I complained they did correct most of the problems but it is the fact of the matter that these things should not have happened.
I have all my specialist Dr.'s as well as my primary under 1 roof! Ok I admit the clinics are scattered a lil but only because of just how many there truly are! I love being able to pull my entire health history and current reports up at anytime online to!! I would not be here today if not for all the wonderful Dr.s here!
This is the finest facility to be found anywhere in the US, possibly the world. The health professionals I have seen and been treated by are my heroes; I am a transplant recipient whose life has been literally saved and greatly improved by the staff at UNMC. I am alive and feisty due to their heroic dedication and skills!
I was so very lost and GPS was no help at all. After being lost for 45 minutes, I called the girls at the front desk in Radiology and God bless them they guided my turn by turn to get there. Then at the entrance, another wonderful woman walked me through the maze to the radiation department. What a great bunch of Gals!
Mom was in the hospital for almost a week in the COVID Ward, she's doing better and is home now. There was one of two doctors who was very arrogant and pushy. Several nurses were very rude and left mom in soiled sheets for long periods of time. I called dhhs on them several times and gave them the names of the nurses.
They did an amazing job with an almost impossible surgery for my wife. But we live in Sioux City Iowa, 90 or more minute drive . Since that they nearly killed her 2 times. Refuse to transport her to Sioux City stating not stable. But they're why not stable. Don't go here! And malpractice lawyers scared to help.
Horrible bedside manner best to leave you die then take care of a issue I do feel bad for the vary small 10% of medical staff that has what it takes but for the rest of the lot would never go back I'll put a bullet in my head then go there. Go to Methodist if it's a option well worth the care comfort and drive
In the business of making money first and helping second. Unprofessional, rude. Basically my visit was $3,245 for absolutely nothing. They only know how to charge bills but not very skilled/knowledgeable staff. Waiting in the ER room for 2 hours only to be laughed at by the staff because I was in severe pain.
I am well pleased with the treatments that I have received. The doctors and nurses take time to listen and referral you to the doctors that can treat you if they can't. No running around and walking out still hurting. I am getting the help I need. I like all the doctors and nurses I have seen to date.
6 hours is the current average wait time for ER care. Then it seems like it could be faster since we waited over an hour after we were told that meds would be administered and we could go. Maybe if the simplest of things were taken care of quickly by nurses it wouldn't take so long.
